Great trip to Sydney today.
The Hume Freeway is an easy road to drive and the Mondeo handled it beautifully. Active cruise control is fantastic; just set and forget (almost). It varies the speed according to traffic and even slows the car on descents to stay at the preset limit.
Melbourne to Sydney on one tank of petrol? The XR5 Turbo did it with an average 7.6 litres per 100 kms.
Bring on the cricket and later in the week, CMS Summer School.

Who Is Captain Zammie Anyway?
Captain Zammie is the nickname for Phil Zamagias. I am a 51 year old pilot with an Air Transport Pilot Licence and over 5,500 hours of flying experience. I was originally an aircraft maintenance engineer with QANTAS, licensed on Boeing 747s.
I also worked as the Communications Officer for the Church Missionary Society, NSW, but still maintained a strong interest in aviation.
I have also been a Missionary Pilot in Arnhem Land for seven years and so you can probably guess that I am a Christian too.
I worked for the Bible Society Australia as the Director of Northern Territory and Outback Ministry (aka The Flying BibleMan). This involved flying a Piper 6XT (have a look at my aeroplane in the photo gallery) around the Outback of Australia, taking God's Word to those who live in isolated places. I covered approximately 40% of Australia's land area from Broome in West Australia, throughout the entire Northern Territory and also far north Queensland and into the Torres Strait Islands.
With the nationalisation of the Bible Society, I have taken on a role as the National Manager for Remote & Indigenous Ministry Support. That means I look after the Bible Society's involvement in Bible Translation for Australian indigenous people as well as supporting and resourcing other organisations and individuals who minister to them.
